Choosing the Right Race and Class in World of Warcraft
November 16, 2009 by Stephen S Alison
Choosing the Right Race and Class in World of Warcraft – Right from the get go, let’s just say this: There is no such thing as the ‘right’ race and class.
For a lot of new players, choosing Choosing the Right Race and Class in World of Warcraft can seem to be an agonizing decision. After all there are so many races: Trolls, orcs, blood elves, undead, draenei, humans, dwarves, gnomes, night elves, and tauren.
On top of that there are tons of classes too: Paladins, shamans, priests, druids, warriors, rogues, mages, warlocks, hunters, and death knights.
Honestly speaking though, you could pick any race and class and make it work for you. Truth is that while some of the ‘racial’ skills are pretty useful for certain combinations (i.e. dwarves get bonuses with guns that hunters could use well), almost every race could combine with every class with decent effect.

End of the day, it all depends on your style of play and personal preference, which is why there is no one ‘right’ race and class that is going to suit everyone. Some people like tauren warriors for pvp due to their area stun. Others like gnomes with their engineering bonuses to help out with that trade skill.
Really, the big question that you should be asking yourself is what class you’d like to play. That can be a tough one – but just try to imagine what you enjoy doing, and pick a class that you feel would allow you to live out your dreams. Needless to say if one class doesn’t live up to your expectations, you could always try others!
Once you’ve picked a class, you should then go over the various races and see if there’s any race that catches your eye. Sometimes, you’ll find that something stands out right from the start and causes you to decide on a certain race immediately.
At other times, after fooling around with the character generator you’ll find a look that you really think would be great for your character.
All things said and done, you don’t really need a great reason to choose a race. Just imagine what you feel you’d like your character to look like, and go with it. Almost every race has its own advantages, so you’re not going to be ‘left behind’ due to whatever choice you make.
So long as you have fun playing, you could even be a gnome warrior (No joke! They’re pretty mean!) and decimate your opponents with ease!

Calorie Consumption
September 6, 2009 by Stephen S Alison
Calorie Consumption – The amount of calories that you consume on a daily basis will determine whether you gain or lose weight and this is one of the most important aspects of any weight loss program that you decide to go on.
Studies have been taken where overweight people believed they were eating no more food than other people they associated with who were considerably slimmer than them.
The overweight people were under the false impression that the reason why they were heavier and gaining weight was due to their body’s metabolism.
When keeping a record of their food consumption over a specified period of time it was shown that they were actually consuming more calories and it had nothing to do with their metabolism but rather their choice of food and the quantities they were eating.
You only need to reduce your calorie intake by 100 calories per day to make a substantial effect on your weight over the period of the year.
This is a very manageable goal for almost everybody and it is not too difficult to cut back by that amount, however many of the weight loss programs are recommending considerably more reduction in calories making it very difficult to maintain and as a result of this many people are failing to achieve what they start out to do.
Now when you combine the fact that you only need to reduce calories by that much, with additional supplementation of vitamins and minerals that can help your overall health, you can see how you can stay nutritionally balanced throughout the whole weight loss process and not feel as though you are starving yourself.
For many people just knowing that the hurdle is not so great, and that there are suitable supplements to assist them, is enough to ensure that they can start and maintain a good weight loss program.
Ways to Increase Your ClickBank Sales
September 5, 2009 by Stephen S Alison
Ways to Increase Your ClickBank Sales – Let’s face it — one of the great advantages of ClickBank is also one of its problems: the affiliate program is easy to join, and ClickBank products are easy to to promote.
Which means you can, and probably will, face competition.
This article addresses two different aspects of increasing your ClickBank sales. First, how to ensure that you get the sale of a particular product that you are promoting (other than just additional marketing strategies). Second, how to sell more ClickBank products overall.
When you have set up your affiliate link, one of the first things you want to do is to make sure that your affiliate link is working. If this seems obvious to you, let me assure you that it is not — more on that in a moment.
How do you check to make sure that your link is working and you are getting credited for the sale? Click on your affiliate link and go to the sales page. Click on the order button, and when you get to the ClickBank order page, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and you should see the centered text:
[affiliate = yourCBid]
Where “yourCBid” is your ClickBank affiliate ID.
Now, some folks have figured out ways to “hijack” ClickBank affiliate IDs. And others have figured out products to prevent that. One of these products is called Affiliate Hijacker — and consists of hosting the actual ClickBank sales page on your own domain. If you decide to do this, you should check with the ClickBank merchant to make sure that this is okay with them. One unknown affiliate uses this strategy, but failed to put their affiliate id onto the page. Since the domain owner is private, the ClickBank merchant has no way of determining who the affiliate is, but regularly receives sales from that page.
Finally, the way to ensure that you get credited with the sale is to offer a unique and valuable bonus that the buyer can only get if they can prove they bought the product through your affiliate link.
Now, another way to increase ClickBank sales is to sell more different ClickBank products.
What’s the easiest way to do this? Well, when you promote a ClickBank product, you should be doing so by having your ClickBank affiliate link on a site that you own. Why? Because, once having gotten someone on your site you want to get them onto an email list. Make sure that you make your visitor an irresistable offer to sign up to your email list.
If you are promoting a weight loss product on your page, offer some valuable hints or maybe coupons for diet products in trade for signing up to your list. Once on your list, you can promote the original product again, in different ways — but you can also promote other weight loss-related products that you find on ClickBank.

Blogging Basics
September 4, 2009 by Stephen S Alison
Blogging Basics – Blogging is something that many people would like to start doing, but don’t know what to do, where to start, or how to keep their blog going.
With the many free blogging tools, both hosted and self-hosted, there’s very little cost involved with starting a blog. The massive array of themes, plugins and optimisation tools make the amount of energy involved in starting a new blog incredibly low, lowering the barrier for entry for any newbie blogger. Still, many people are unfamiliar with the basics of blogging, and just need a small guide to help them get on their way to becoming an avid blogger. The following strategies are fundamental for bloggers both old and new, and go over the basic elements of a successful blog.
Firstly, you’ll need to decide how you’d like to host your blog. With many free independently hosted options available, including Wordpress.com, hosting your blog on someone else’s server is simple and quick, requiring minimal maintenance on the part of the blogger. Using these services has some other major advantages too — your blog is automatically submitted to search engines, and basic analytics tools are provided without requiring a complex installation.
On the other hand, self-hosting your blog gives you a much greater level of control, allowing you to customise your design, change your blog’s structure, and introduce money making measures such as affiliate links and advertising. If it’s control you’re after, such as a professional blog or business based blog, make sure to self-host your blog on your own server. Furthermore, if you’re planning on monetising your blog at some point through page ads, it’s best to go with your own server, as many hosted blogging services do not allow advertising.
Deciding on which blogging platform to use can be a frustrating and difficult experience for beginners. The important thing to think about is whether you need a free service or not. Many hosted blogging platforms require a monthly payment, which can put off newbie bloggers. If you’re after a low cost personal blog, make sure to pick a free blogging service such as Wordpress. Also, it’s important to think about what degree of customisability you need in your blogging software. If you’re looking to create additional pages, make sure that your blogging platform allows you to create them, along with the ability to implement whatever plugins you need.
There’s a massive range of free and paid themes available for all different types of blogging software. Make sure to pick a theme that highlights your content, in whatever format it may be. If you’re creating a video blog, don’t pick a theme that’s designed to house massive amounts of text content. Special video blog themes are available, and most likely fit your needs more precisely than a non-specific blog would. Likewise, be sure to pick a blog that features clear, easy to read text if your focus is on text content.
Whatever you’re blogging about, there’s a range of software, addons, and hosting services available to make your blogging experience the best that it possibly can be. Be sure to check out this free guide on blogging tips and tricks, in order to maximise your blogging experience.

Getting Tracked Through Your Computer
August 31, 2009 by Stephen S Alison
Getting Tracked Through Your Computer – Well apparently everything you have ever done on your computer can be traced and your deleted files can be backed up.
I have a friend who always made sure to delete files that he didn’t want others to see, as well as emails and internet history. The problem is that he didn’t know that your computer automatically saves little backups, or footprints of everything you do on your computer.
Using a very easy to get recovery program, his wife recovered a bunch of deleted emails that showed him flirting with one of his ex-girlfriends and even talking about how he had cheated on her. By using these files as evidence, she took him to court and divorced him, taking everything he was worth. Now I don’t feel bad for him because he was a bad husband, but I really had no idea about how easy it was to recover deleted files.
This incident urged me to tell others that just because they’ve deleted files and emails from their computer, it doesn’t mean that they’re gone for good. You need to find a privacy controller, or some type of program that will find these deleted files and clear all references to them. Finding these programs isn’t hard, but finding a good working one that isn’t a scam can be.
